Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Capitals by 12 runs. Delhi captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. Rajasthan Royals did not get off to a good start. Yasswi Jaiswal got out for just 5 runs. Jos Buttler scored 11. Royals captain Sanju Samson did not get a run either. However, Ryan Parag (84 off 45), Ravichandran Ashwin (29 off 19), Dhruv Jurel (20 off 12) batted well. And in the end Rajasthan scored 185 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs courtesy of Shimron Hetmyer’s 14 runs off 7 balls.
David Warner (49) and Mitchell Marsh (23) started well for Delhi Capitals chasing runs. Skipper Rishabh Panth made 28. Delhi’s Tristan Stubbs (44 not out from 23 balls) and Akshar Patel (15) fought hard. They needed 17 runs off 6 balls in the last over. Avesh Khan came to bowl. The Delhi innings was stuck at 173 runs due to his brilliant bowling. Rajasthan Royals won the match by 12 runs.
