This is why the farmers of the district started cultivating Chinese watermelon instead of growing mint, paddy, wheat etc. In growing Chinese watermelon they get many times the profit compared to the low cost.
3 to 4 lakh profit from one crop
There is a farmer in the Migdal district who grows watermelon using the mulching method. Farmer Shiv Kailash, a resident of Mahandabad village in Barabanki district, started growing Chinese watermelon from three bights in which he earned good profits. Today he grows watermelons in about 6 bights. From this farming he gets a profit of about 3 to 4 lakh rupees every year.
How to grow a Chinese watermelon
Shiv Kailash said that to prepare the melon crop, first of all, the fields are plowed properly. After that, organic food is added and planting is done by preparing mulch beds in the entire area. He said that this time the seeds were found to be good and from each plant more than 3 kg of material is produced. Shiv Kailash said that the cost of cultivating 1 Biga is about 15 thousand rupees, which includes the cost of fertilizer, seeds and mulch and other things. If we do farming through mulch beds So the crop requires less water, which increases the yield, which is around 3 to 4 lakh rupees because this Chinese watermelon is very sweet to eat and the smallest fruit is red love to eat it
