Hidden payments while the association struggled with financial troubles ended the CEO’s tenure

In August 2021, Jonathan Hill, CEO of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), visited Bushy Park in Dublin to watch the Ternor Rangers teams in training. This happens to be the club where I do some (assistant) coaching.

Unlike John Delaney, the FAI’s previous chief executive, there was no major innovation check to be presented. The club appreciated Hill’s visit and the opportunity to tell him about plans to develop better facilities.
