The Supreme Court said that the state government and the petitioners related to the case should submit the report to the Central Competent Commission (CEC). The commission will form its opinion based on the report and report to the Supreme Court.

Human role behind 398 cases of forest fires in one year

During the hearing of the case on Wednesday, the Otterhand government told the Supreme Court that only 0.1% of the wildlife areas were affected by the forest fire. After hearing the arguments, the court said that the next hearing in this case will be held on May 15. This case was heard in the Supreme Court with Justice Bara Gabbai and Justice Sandeep Mehta. The government said that in 2023 there were 398 cases of forest fires caused by humans.

The lawyer for the Otterhand government told the Supreme Court that forest fire incidents are dealt with strictly. So far, 350 criminal cases have been registered. 62 people were called. After hearing the arguments, the bench said that relying on cloud seeding or natural rain is not a solution to this problem. The court made it clear that the government would have to take additional measures.
