Amidst a flurry of high-profile weddings, Ishqbaaz actress Surbhi Chandna and Karan Sharma’s union took center stage. After dating for a long time, the couple marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives by exchanging vows on March 2 at the Chomu Palace in Jaipur. But what caught everyone’s attention was Surbhi’s choice of wedding dress. Instead of going for the usual red, she opted for a stunning turquoise lehenga with pops of fleshy pink. It was a bold move, but one that showed off her personality and style perfectly.

The lehenga, designed by Jigar and Nikita, was embellished with intricate embroidery, floral motifs, and sequins, every detail adding to its beauty and elegance. The corset-style blouse, with its pearl detailing and sweetheart neckline, added a touch of regal charm. What is even more impressive is the effort that went into creating this masterpiece. It took a whopping 70 days and 1680 hours of hard work to bring Surbhi’s vision to life.

Speaking about the same in an interview with ETimes, designer duo Jigar and Nikita said, “Surbhi has a unique personality and we wanted her wedding dress to reflect that perfectly. Instead of traditional red, pink or ivory, we chose turquoise because it matches her calm, friendly and cheerful demeanor. Every bride deserves to look her best at her wedding, so we made sure we put extra effort into every detail. Our aim was to maintain tradition while adding a modern touch that would suit Surbhi and Karan. It took us almost 70 days to finish the dress, with its intricate zardozi work and pearl detailing, but when Surbhi wore it on her big day and smiled, all the hard work felt worth the effort. We are delighted that she trusted us to make her look amazing.”

Surbhi also shared her thoughts on her dream wedding dress, which garnered immense love and appreciation. She revealed that although she portrayed a bride on screen, like many other women, she had been dreaming about her wedding dress for years. The actress expressed her gratitude towards Bindagi by Jigar and Nikita for making her dream come true. Remembering the moment she laid eyes on the dress for the first time, she admitted, “I was speechless, and the little girl in me did a happy dance.”

On the other hand, Karan Sharma complemented Surbhi’s lehenga with a gray open jacket sherwani ensemble.
