Summer Weekly Special Trains from Guwahati and New Tinsukia. Demand for summer special trains increases for travel to various destinations In view of the sudden increase in passenger demand during summer, North East Frontier Railway will operate weekly special trains from Guwahati and New Tinsukia. One special train will be operated between Guwahati and Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan and another between Tinsukia and SMVT Bangalore. The two trains will run for nine journeys each in both directions.
Both the special trains will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier buses and sleeper class coaches for the convenience of passengers. So train no. 05636 (Guwahati-Sri Ganganagar) Special will depart Guwahati at 6:15 pm every Wednesday from May 01 to June 26, 2024 and arrive Sri Ganganagar at 3:30 pm on Saturday. During the return journey, train no. 05635 (Sri Ganganagar-Guwahati) Special will depart Sri Ganganagar at 1:20 PM every Sunday from May 05 to June 30, 2024 and arrive Guwahati at 12:25 PM on Wednesday. Train no. 05952 (New Tinsukia-SMVT Bangalore) Special will depart New Tinsukia at 6:45 PM every Thursday from May 02 to June 27, 2024 and arrive SMVT Bangalore at 9 AM on Sunday. During the return journey, train no. 05951 (SMVT Bangalore-New Tinsukia) Special between May 06 and July 01, 2024 will depart SMVT Bangalore at 12:30 PM every Monday and arrive New Tinsukia on Wednesday at 1:15 PM.

Sabyasachi De, chief public relations officer, North East Frontier Railway, said that the details of stops and schedules of these trains are available on the IRCTC website and have also been uploaded to various newspapers and social media platforms of North East Frontier Railway. Passengers are asked to check details before departure.
