The Aam Aadmi Party has issued a letter on Sunday (April 21). Tihar Jail DG Sanjay Beniwal has written this letter to AIIMS. In this letter, he was asked to appoint a senior diabetologist for CM Arvind Kejriwal. The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged that the central government is conspiring to kill him.
Arvind Kejriwal is in Tihar jail since April 1. On April 18, he had filed a petition in the court demanding consultation with his doctor and insulin, and the decision will be taken on April 22.

Government lies exposed – AAP
AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said the Tihar Jail report is a pack of lies. First of all, Kejriwal’s sugar was randomly measured. Whenever the sugar level has decreased, that is the only record in the report. This is a conspiracy to kill Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal is repeatedly asking for insulin from the jail administration, but they are not ready to give it.
The central government continued to say that a specialist was present in the jail to look after Kejriwal. Tihar DG’s lie has been exposed after he wrote a letter to AIIMS to send a diabetologist.
A video conference was held on Sunita’s wife’s appeal
On the appeal of Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, the Tihar Jail administration held a video conference. In which apart from a senior doctor from the hospital, the medical officer of Tihar was also present. According to news agency PTI, a jail official said that after 40 minutes of consultation, Kejriwal was assured that there was no serious concern. He was advised to continue the medication. It will be checked regularly.
The AIIMS expert got complete records of the CGM (glucose monitoring sensor) and details of Kejriwal’s food and medication chart. The jail official says that the issue of insulin was not raised by Kejriwal nor did the doctors suggest it.

- Kejriwal has diabetes. He is detained in Tihar jail for 20 days in the liquor scam case. Rouse Avenue Court has sent him to judicial custody until April 23. In addition, they have also been allowed to eat homemade food.
- Four days ago, on April 18, Kejriwal’s lawyer Vivek Jain had filed a petition in the trial court demanding a medical consultation from Kejriwal’s doctor through video conferencing. He had argued that Kejriwal was a Type-2 diabetic and his blood sugar level kept fluctuating.
- In response, ED told Rouse Avenue Court that Kejriwal was deliberately eating sweets in Tihar Jail, so that his sugar level would increase and he could get bail on medical grounds. Similar food comes from Kejriwal’s house, which is high in sugar and carbohydrates.
- But Rouse Avenue Court has reserved the decision. Now the decision on his insulin appeal and doctor’s consultation will be made on April 22.
Gave up insulin months before coming to prison
A Tihar official claimed on Saturday, April 20 that Kejriwal had stopped taking insulin months before coming to jail. He (Kejriwal) takes the common anti-diabetes drug metformin. This report has been submitted to Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena. Tihar Jail has given this answer after Delhi Minister Atishi’s statement.
Atishi had said – At the behest of the BJP, a conspiracy is being hatched to kill Kejriwal in jail. Kejriwal has been taking insulin for 12 years. What is the problem with giving Tihar while giving them insulin? Atishi had also said that Kejriwal was taking 50 units of insulin every day before going to jail.
