Under the program, Indian tourists will be allowed to visit the country without the need for a visa until November 11, 2024, according to a Bloomberg report.

Prime Minister Shreta Thavisin announced the extension after a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, allowing travelers from India and Taiwan to stay for a maximum of 30 days without a visa.

Earlier, tourists from India and Taiwan were allowed to stay in Thailand for only 15 days under the visa on arrival scheme.

Recently, the Sri Lankan government has announced that Indian tourists will continue to get free tourist visas.

The countries covered by the free visa service are India, China, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, the statement said.
