Jiya Shankar recently made waves by sharing a no-filter post where she candidly addressed skin-related issues.
Jiya Shankar, who gained popularity on Bigg Boss OTT 2, continues to charm her fans with her endearing personality. She recently uploaded a post on social media and shared that she is going makeup free. Famous for her striking looks and gorgeous style, Jiya Shankar’s choice to showcase her unfiltered self has sparked a dialogue about reshaping beauty norms in the entertainment world. Alongside a make-up-free selfie, she wrote, “No make-up, no filter, and I love it.”
But it wasn’t just about tasting its natural beauty. Jiya opened up about her skin problems including acne, scars, pigmentation, and dark circles. She wrote, “Idc (I don’t care) about your beauty standards. Yes, I have acne, acne scars, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, and dark circles (also a birthmark right in the middle of my forehead) and that’s what brown skin looks like to most of us! Don’t let anyone define beauty for you! You are beautiful just the way you are.”
By honestly addressing her skin concerns, Jiya sparked attention to the reality behind the scenes and makeup.
Jiya Shankar won praise for her portrayal of Dr. Iravati Pandey in the beloved comedy & TV drama series, Meri Hanikarak Biwi, and as Susheela Ruhail Solanki in SAB’s hit comedy Kaatelal & Sons. Expanding his repertoire, he also served as a co-host on SAB TV’s Good Night India. However, it was her participation in the second season of Bigg Boss OTT that propelled her to stardom. Evicted just three days before the grand finale, she secured 6th place, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.
Following her appearance on Bigg Boss OTT 2, Jiya has starred in several music videos. Notably, she starred alongside fellow Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant Abhishek Malhan in Tanveer Evan’s music video for Judaiyaan. Additionally, she appeared in a music video alongside Harsh Beniwal for a song by Tulsi Kumar, Vishal Mishra, and Javed-Mohsin.
Besides her television endeavors, she has ventured into Marathi cinema with her appearance in the film Ved. The film also featured Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza in pivotal roles.
