Highlights

Sushil Pandey, Bhopal. Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (manit) Artificial Intelligence of (AI) The Head of the department and Dean of Research, Dr. Nilay Khare, together with his team, is preparing a device that will help take care of women during pregnancy.

This work is being done in collaboration with AIIMS doctors. Artificial intelligence Hardware and software are developed using This device will tell about women’s health status, necessary tests and medications.

He will also tell how serious the problem is and book a slot to meet the doctor and send the woman’s history to the doctor. AI assisted maternal care work has started two months ago. It is estimated that it will take a year to build. For this, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with AIIMS Bhopal and now the team is trying to reach an agreement with the National Health Mission (NHM).

Dr Nilay Khare said the Madhya Pradesh health department has made a protocol for nine months of pregnancy, but it is not being followed properly, especially among women in rural areas. Because of this, women arrive at the hospital in worsening conditions in recent days.

AI assistants for maternal care will be especially useful in rural areas, where pregnant women are often unaware of care protocols and health facilities are not readily available. He will be able to perform tests such as ultrasonography. From time to time doctors sitting in different cities will assess the condition of pregnant women with the help of the device.

If any complication arises, the device will detect its severity and suggest whether the patient needs to be taken to a civil or district hospital. He will arrange an appointment with an available doctor and send his history to the doctor.

In case of emergency this device will also connect to 108. Dr Khare said that this equipment will help in keeping the mother and child healthy in the state. ASHA or Anganwadi workers will be trained to use the device.

This is how I got inspiration

Dr Nilay Khare said my daughter Dr Aditi Khare is a gynecologist and obstetrician at Hamidia Hospital. Through him, I keep getting to know that the condition of women and unborn babies who arrive at the hospital is often worrying and the main reason for this is the lack of proper care for women after pregnancy. This inspired me to make this invention.

These are included in the team

In this research, a team of 14 students together with the Dean Dr. Nilay Khare as assistants along with Professor Dr. Mansi Gyanchandani from the Department of AI, Professor Kavita Khare and Professor Sangeeta from the Department of Electronics are participating.
