Lahore (Sports Desk) Pakistan cricket team has set a new record by using 8 bowlers for the first time in a T20 match.

The final match of the 5-match T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand was played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore yesterday. Pakistan won the last match by 9 runs to level the series 2-2.

During the second innings of the T20 match, Pakistan captain Babar Azam made the best use of his bowlers. Babar Azam bowled 8 of his bowlers to defeat New Zealand in the last T20I.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Amir and Abbas Afridi handled the pace attack while Osama Mir, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim troubled the batsmen in the spin department.

Captain Babar Azam also bowled opening batsman Saeem Ayub in the last T20 match. Saeem Ayub bowled 20 runs in 2 overs with an economy of 10.

It should be noted that in the history of T20 International, the maximum number of bowlers used in a match is 9. This record is held by the cricket team of New Guinea, Denmark, South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
