New Delhi (May 4): Arvinder Singh Lovely, who resigned from the post of Delhi Congress President, has officially joined the BJP today. Arvinder Singh Lovely resigned from the post of Delhi Congress President against the Congress alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party. Lovely said his resignation was only for the party job and not for the party. But now he has joined the BJP.

In his resignation letter submitted last week, Lovely criticized the nomination papers of Kanhaiya Kumar from North East Delhi and Udit Raj from North West Delhi. He was a complete stranger to the Delhi Congress. Lovely said she did not resign for the ticket.

After resigning, Lovely had said that you all know he held a press conference three days ago and introduced the candidates. Lovely had also made it clear that he had resigned from the post of Delhi Congress president and was not joining any political party.

The Delhi Congress unit was against an alliance with the party formed on the sole basis of leveling false, false and malicious allegations of corruption against the Congress party. Despite that, the party decided to join hands with AAP in Delhi,” wrote Arvinder Singh Lovely in his resignation letter.

In his resignation letter to Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge, Arvinder Singh Lovely cited his alliance with Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as a reason for his resignation.

Lovely took charge of the job in August last year. In his letter, Arvinder Singh Lovely added that AICC General Secretary (in charge of Delhi) unilaterally vetoes all unanimous decisions taken by senior Congress leaders in Delhi.
