North Bengal News Digital Desk: The Chief Minister of Delhi is a little relieved. Arvind Kejriwal as Prime Minister (Arvind Kejriwal) The Delhi High Court dismissed the public interest litigation filed demanding its removal. The court said that there is no constitutional prohibition for the prime minister to be in the custody of the ED or in jail.

Arvind Kejriwal is currently in custody in the Excise corruption case. Being in charge of the ED, the situation in Delhi is almost a constitutional crisis right now. A public interest litigation was filed in the Delhi High Court demanding Kejriwal’s removal from the post of Chief Minister. The court dismissed the case that day. According to the court, it is not a matter for the court whether someone will be Prime Minister. That will be decided by another part of the administration. Delhi High Court bench Manmeet PS Arora asked the litigants, “Where is the difficulty of jail for the Prime Minister?’ The complainant could not give any answer. The court then observed that there was no constitutional bar to Kejri’s tenure as Chief Minister. However, there might be some procedural issues.

Meanwhile, even though the court has said this, Kejriwal’s crisis is not completely over. Because the Governor of Delhi has already said that he will not allow anyone to run the government from jail. But this time the presidential rule can be published? Those questions arise.
