Achi News Updates,

Efforts are on to arrest a foreigner in connection with a plot to kill Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, party chief Murad Saeed said on Friday.

Saeed asked who tried to free the suspect. He said the man who was “captured” was leading a “decoration”.

A commission to probe the murder of slain journalist Arshad Sharif should be set up as per the express wishes of the deceased, the former communications minister said.

Saeed made this comment in the Peshawar Journal. He said an Islamabad-based officer “approached” Sharif at his residence to issue a “threat”. After that Sharif had to change his number and blocked people associated with a “specific” company before that. Sharif, Saeed, fled Pakistan.

The former minister also questioned which authorities persuaded the United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities to immediately flee the slain journalist. Saeed asked who used such influence.

PTI chief Imran Khan was injured in firing in Wazirabad on Thursday. Earlier, firing was reported near the PTI leader’s container. It was later revealed that he was injured. A bomb landed on the feet of the PTI top brass. PTI leader Shaukat Khan has also been taken to hospital in Lahore. His condition is said to be stable.
