The court’s decision came on Thursday in the murder case that took place 25 years ago in 1999 in Israna sub-division of Panipat district. Additional Sessions Court Judge Rajesh Kumar Mehta has sentenced convict Rammehar who lives in Lauhari village, Panipat to life imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 10,000 has also been imposed on the offender. The convicts had killed another convict when he objected to bringing another woman. The convict had been on the run for 21 years after being released from prison on bail.

The deceased had gone for a walk from home, a complaint has been given to the Israna police station.
