News in the survey the whole district of Janjgir is hot because of the scorching heat and the scorching sun. In such a situation, the demand for electricity also increases, but the capacity of the substations in the city is not increased. Because of this, the region’s consumers will have to deal with problems this summer as well. Even on Saturday, the residents of the city had to deal with problems due to power cuts several times during the day. There are six sub centers in Naila region. These six substations supply electricity to 15,500 homes in the Naila area. The number of electricity consumers has increased over time, but the capacity of the substations that were there before is still being used. Purani Basti’s Ranitalab substation has the lowest capacity among the six substations at 3.15 MVA. Because of this, people in the old settlements are facing additional problems these days due to power cuts. The government guidelines are that the municipality and the tehsil headquarters should have electricity 24 hours a day. Consumers are increasing with time, but due to lack of power plant capacity, people are facing problems especially during summer. However, officials say that all substations are congested, so no proposal is being sent to increase capacity. The consumers of the region have to bear the burden of this. People will continue to face problems due to low voltage and tripping problems this summer as well. Saurabh Girolkar, a resident of the old colony of the city, says that with the rise in heat, the problem of electricity has also increased. Stumbling occurs several times during the day. That’s why you have to deal with problems. It’s hard to sleep in this heat with the lights off at night. Vivek said that over time the resources grow according to the people and their needs, therefore the sub-centers should be updated also regarding the electricity supply. If necessary, a proposal to increase the capacity will be sent. Evidence occurs for many reasons, but the electricity does not stay off for long. Electricity is supplied to about 15,000,500 homes from six sub-centres of the Naila region. The load increases in the summer, but currently there is no special need to increase the capacity, and hence no proposal has been sent. If necessary, the proposal will be sent above. – Saurabh Kashyap, JE, Naila Zone
