A 5 year old son who won from eye cancer
Singer Megan Brimson’s 5-year-old son, 28-year-old Arlo in Isle of Wight, England, was diagnosed with eye cancer retinoblastoma. Arlo was playing outside in the sunlight when Megan noticed a white glow in her son’s right eye.
Megan immediately took her son to St Mary’s Hospital on the Isle of Wight for a check-up. During the examination, the doctor told Megan that there was a mass in the eye.

Meanwhile, Megan shared her shock when she learned that Arlo had eye cancer. In August 2023, Arlo noticed a white glow in his eye while playing outside in the sunlight. Doctors examined two of Arlo’s eyes and confirmed that he had retinoblastoma. Then the doctor said an operation was needed to remove the right eye. In that difficult situation, the support of the husband and the love of the family made everything okay.

Although retinoblastoma is a rare disease, it affects one child a week in the UK, says Richard Ashton, Chief Executive of the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust. It is difficult to detect this disease in the primary stage. Children look healthy. But doctors explained that the risks increase with time.
