Srinagar, March 27: Over 51,000 people visited Asia’s largest tulip garden in five days.

Officials said that despite the ongoing holy month of Ramadan, tourists, both local and international, flocked to see the spectacular display of tulips.

According to available details, the garden, managed by Khan Mudasir, has seen an unprecedented response from visitors within the first five days of its opening, with 51,786 enthusiasts exploring its winding paths and colorful flower arrangements.

To further delight visitors, the floristry department has introduced five new varieties of tulips, adding to the garden’s attraction.

In order to simplify the visitor experience and reduce long queues, the garden managers have introduced online ticket processing, a move which has been warmly welcomed by tourists. In addition, to promote educational visits, a special 20% discount on tickets has been extended to students until April 10, announced by the contract that oversees the garden.

Furthermore, visitors have praised the government’s efforts to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience, expressing their satisfaction with the arrangements made.

“Despite challenges like pre-booked accommodation hampering travel to Kashmir, the garden is expected to surpass last year’s record of 366,000 visitors,” officials said, adding, “With a record number of tourists , they predict a further surge. in visitors after Eid. (With KNO inputs)
