A church in Bridgetown, NS, has been destroyed by fire on Friday morning.
Nova Scotia RCMP say emergency crews were called to Bridgetown Baptist Church on Highway 1, also known as Granville Street, around 7:45 a.m.
About a dozen fire departments responded to the scene.
A diversion was organized in the area at 9:30am and people were asked to avoid going to the area.
Police say work is being done inside the church, but the cause of the fire is not yet known.

There are no known injuries.
The church was built in 1891, according to its website.
