In Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a clash broke out between two groups over the publication of names in a pamphlet of a local temple festival. An 80-year-old woman died in this clash, while four people were also injured. The deceased has been identified as Lirvan Bharwad. He died on Wednesday after being hit by a rock in the chest during the confrontation.
A group at a local temple festival wanted to include some names in the flyer, but another group objected. An official said the disagreement over the name escalated into a clash between the two groups. Four people were also injured in this incident. An FIR has been registered against 21 people from both the groups. The police are now trying to catch them.
Seven identified and three unidentified people were named as accused. A case has been registered against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
