The third phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be held on May 7 from 7 am to 6 pm. In the first phase and the second phase, voting took place on 9 of the total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. Out of the remaining 31 seats, elections will be held in 5 Bihar seats in the third phase on May 7. In this framework, elections will be held in Janjaharpur, Araria, Sopol, Madpura and Khagaria Lok Sabha constituencies. For this purpose, the election campaign will stop at 17:00 on Sunday, May 5. The election committee made full preparations for a peaceful vote.
Let us tell you that in the third phase, 54 candidates are in the fray in all the five Lok Sabha constituencies. who try their luck. Of these 54 candidates, three are female candidates. while 51 male candidates are in the fray. Of these, 19 are independent candidates, while 21 candidates are from small parties and organizations. A total of 14 candidates from major parties are running. Out of them, 3 candidates are from JDU, 1 candidate is from BJP and 1 candidate is from Chirag Paswan’s LJP Ram Vilas Party.
Three candidates from RJD, one candidate from Congress, one candidate from Communist Party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party are in the fray for all the 5 seats. The maximum number of 15 candidates are in the fray in Supaul while the lowest number of 8 candidates are in the fray in Madepura. A total of 98,60,397 voters will vote in all the five Lok Sabha constituencies. Of these, 51,29,473 are male voters. While 47,30,602 women voters will vote. The number of voters of the third gender is 322. In this, the number of voters aged 18 to 19 years who voted for the first time is 145482, while the number of voters aged 20 to 29 years is 22,84,689.
