The Congress fielded Varsha Gaikwad from north central Mumbai. On the other hand, the names of Ujwal Nikam and Ashish Shelar are being discussed for the North Central Mumbai seat from Ayutthaya. Meanwhile, Varsha Gaikwad met Uddhav Thackeray after announcing his candidature and claimed that he will win all the six seats in Mumbai. Leaving the North Mumbai seat, the candidates for Maviya in Mumbai have been decided. In Mumbai, the Thackeray Group has appointed Arvind Sawant from Mumbai South, Anil Desai from Mumbai South Central, Amul Kirtikar from Mumbai North West and Sanjay Dina Patel from Mumbai North East. The Congress nominated Varsha Gaikwad from north central Mumbai. The Congress is yet to announce its candidate from Mumbai North.
Meanwhile, BJP has given its candidate in 2 seats and Shiv Sena in 1 seat out of 6 seats in Mumbai. BJP has nominated Piyush Goyal from Mumbai North and Mihir Kotecha from Mumbai North East. Rahul Shewale is in the South Central Mumbai constituency from Shinde’s Shiv Sena. However, Ravindra Vaikar’s name from Mumbai North West has been mooted. The names of Yashwant Jadhav from Mumbai South and Ujwal Nikam Ashish Shelar from North Central Mumbai are being discussed.
The Shinde vs Thackeray faction will be shown in South Central Mumbai. Rahul Shewale is in the electoral field from the Shinde group. Anil Desai of the Thackeray Group will challenge him. While in North East Mumbai there will be a battle of Thackeray group against BJP. Thackeray Group’s Sanjay Dina Patil is in the fray against BJP’s Mihir Kotencha. BJP’s Piyush Goyal was a candidate from North Mumbai. No candidate has yet been proposed by the Congress against him. Amul Kirtikar is in the fray from North West Mumbai from the Thackeray group. The Thackeray group has a good hold in the North Central Mumbai constituency
In 2019, Congress’ Priya Dutt challenged BJP’s Poonam Mahajan in North Central Mumbai. Poonam Mahajan got 4 lakh 86 thousand 472 votes and Priya Dutt got 3 lakh 56 thousand 667 votes. Poonam Mahajan won by a margin of 1 lakh 30 thousand votes. The Thackeray group has a good hold in the North Central Mumbai constituency. Therefore, Varsha Gaikwad will benefit greatly from the Thackeray group. Uddhav Thackeray also promised to send Varsha Gaikwad to Delhi as an MP.
Who will challenge Warsaw Gaikwad?
Ashish Scheller gave an open challenge to Uddhav Thackeray after Varsha Gaikwad’s candidature from North Central Mumbai was announced. He challenged Thackeray to fight face to face from north central Mumbai. Varsha Gaikwad was a candidate from North Central Mumbai from Mauvia. However, while no candidate has been announced by Mahayoti yet, the names of Ashish Sheller and Ujjawal Nikam are in discussion.
