Guwahati: A pickup vehicle, which was reported stolen from the Action Kata area of ​​Lalmati, was recovered by the police from a village in Tamulpur district. The recovery follows an investigation by the Sista station into the theft reported by Subodh Giri, a resident of Bikash Nagar, Bidya Mandir Road, in an FIR filed on Friday, May 3.

According to the FIR, the vehicle was stolen around 1 am on May 2. The Sista Police registered a case and started an investigation, which led to the arrest of three suspects in lifting cars – 21-year-old Sona Mia, 35-year-old Taher Ali, and 35-year-old Mahar Ali, all from Sarathbari, in Rafta.
Based on the interrogation of the arrested suspects, the police also arrested a 38-year-old man identified as Nurul Islam Makmrup. He is suspected of being the receiver of the stolen vehicle.
