Shri Chaiti Durga Puja Committee Doranda worshiped Mata Mahagauri as per the rituals on Tuesday. Mahashtami puja started at nine in the morning. In the presence of Acharya Ajit Pathak and Pandit Manoj Vaidya, hosts Devashish Dutta and Tanya Dutta performed the worship rituals. After this, Halwa Prasad was offered to the Mother Goddess. Sandhi puja was performed at 4.17 pm and floral tributes were given.

Bhajan night was organized at Mata Darbar from 7 pm. opportunities
