The Pakistan People’s Party has warned the PML-N about lathi charge and arrests of farmers and said that the government will not last long if the public issues are not resolved.
The PML-N federal government and the Punjab government are facing farmers’ protests over the purchase of wheat, against which the provincial government is cracking down on the farmers. In this regard, Plaid y Popl has adopted a strict stance.
The Central Secretary General of the Pakistan People’s Party, Nair Bukhari, in his statement strongly condemned the lathi charge and the arrests of the farmers and called it excessive and said that no one was ready to listen to the farmers’ point of view. If they are not given facilities, the poor will die of hunger.

Nair Bukhari said that the PPP government increased the support price in 2008. Now if the government does not buy wheat and the farmers do not get the fixed price, they will not grow wheat in the next season.
He said if the farmers do not have money, how will they cultivate. On the other hand, if we don’t have dollars, where will we import wheat from?
The leader of the PP said that we must give priority to people’s interests and Plaid y Popl will give priority to people’s interests. If people cannot solve the problems, then they have no right to stay in the government and if they do not solve the public problems, this government will not be able to last long.

It should be noted that the People’s Party has supported the PML-G government in the federation but has not yet joined the government.
