Considering the scorching heat in Gaya district, the district administration has issued an order to close schools. The order issued by the DM includes not only government schools but also non-government schools. Dr. Dr. Thiagarajan banned classes from Kindergarten to 11-12. It was stated in the order that schools will not be opened between 10:30 and 16:00. Similarly, classes 11-12 will not take place between 11:30 and 16:00. The minister also said in his order that strict measures will be taken against the institute which was negligent in fulfilling the order. The order will come into effect on April 27. This step of the DM largely removed the worries of the children’s parents. In light of the heat in the various WhatsApp groups, the parents demanded that the district administration impose restrictions on the school schedule. A large number of parents have been waiting for this order of Dr. DM Thiagarajan for the last few days. The DM’s order will come into effect in all government and non-government schools from April 27. The DM in his order has cited that as per the forecast of the Meteorological Department, severe heat and heat wave conditions continue in the Gaya district. In such a situation, there is a possibility of negative effects on the health of children. Therefore, using section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Act 1973, it has been decided to ban the educational activities of all schools until further orders.
