As soon as the mining officer came out, the thieves went in and stole the (symbolic) car.

An impounded vehicle was stolen from the RTA and Mining Department parking lot at Jhettipur village in Samalkha town of Haryana’s Panipat district. The mining officer confiscated the car and got out. After reaching a considerable distance, the accused entered the car park. From where they stole the seized vehicle and fled the scene. The parking contractor has complained about this to the police. The police have registered a case of theft based on the complaint.

The sand-filled vehicle had no front and rear number plates.
