Guwahati: The Regional Meteorological Center in Guwahati has issued a detailed weather forecast for the northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, for the next 24 hours.

According to the forecast, light to moderate rain is expected at most places across Arunachal Pradesh and many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. In addition, light to moderate rain may also occur at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, with speeds reaching up to 40-50 kmph, are expected to occur at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Similar weather conditions are expected in Arunachal Pradesh, with thunderstorms and lightning forecast at isolated places. Further, heavy rains are expected in isolated areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

The sky is expected to be partly cloudy, with occasional rain or thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The regional meteorological center called on residents to stay updated on the weather conditions and to take precautions. In addition, they recommended downloading the "Answers" An application for location-specific forecasts and warnings, e "Magadot" Agromet’s consulting application, and the "Damini" App for lightning warnings.
