The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the application process for Junior Engineer Exam 2024. To appear in the exam, candidates can apply before 11 pm on April 18, 2024. The application process starts from 28 March. After applying, registered candidates can also make corrections in their application form from 22 April to 23 April. Application must be made by visiting the official website of SSC, ssc.gov.in.
The Commission will recruit a total of 968 JE vacancies under the Junior Engineer examination. Many central departments will be recruiting for JE vacancies including Border Roads Organization, Military Engineer Services. Candidates can apply as per their eligibility till the specified last date.

Who can apply?
Candidates applying for various posts of Junior Engineer must possess an Engineering Diploma in the relevant subject. The age of the applicant submitting the application should not exceed 30 years. OBC candidates have been given a relaxation of three years and SC and ST category candidates have been given a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.
How much is the application fee? – General category candidates applying for the SSC JE 2024 exam will have to deposit an application fee of Rs 100. While SC, ST and disabled category candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

How will the choice be made?
The process of selection for various GS posts will be done through Paper 1 and Paper 2 examination. Paper 1 examination will be held between June 4 and 6 and the candidates who pass it will appear in Paper 2. Selected candidates will getting a salary between Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400.
