The persistence of cross-border terrorism in Pakistan is alarming. Even the ruling Afghan interim government could not present a satisfactory strategy on this sensitive issue. Thorns of terrorism are scattered in the path of Pak-Afghan bilateral relations. Mutual trust cannot be restored without removing these thorns from the path. The planners of the outlawed TTP are creating a storm of terrorism in Pakistan from safe havens in Afghanistan. It is impossible to deny this fact as clear as day, but the Interim Government of Afghanistan makes us believe that there is no terrorist group in Afghanistan. This position is contrary to the basic truth and this unrealistic claim has been rejected by Pakistan and neighboring countries and international organizations. The content of the twenty-third report issued by the sub-committee of the United Nations Security Council is noteworthy. Contrary to the claims of the Taliban in Afghanistan, the report states that banned terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda, Daesh and TTP are fully active on Afghan soil with their various factions. This eye-opening revelation is very alarming that Al-Qaeda has further consolidated its terrorist network by establishing training camps in four provinces and new armory in one province. The opinion of the international observers and the United Nations Security Council is very logical that the coordinated terrorist activities of the banned organizations are not possible without the support of the Afghan Taliban state.
This is Pakistan’s position regarding the outlawed TTP. A number of incontrovertible evidences to support these concerns have emerged from within the ranks of the Taliban in Afghanistan. A few weeks ago, a video of a Taliban commander urging the outlawed TTP terrorists to carry out attacks on Pakistani soil spread like wildfire on social media. It is a pity that the immature minds of the youth are being led towards heinous crimes like terrorism through wrong interpretations of Islam and Jihad. The followers of Satan under the guise of religion make the emotional youth join the ranks against the motherland and state institutions. The disastrous consequences of this religious fabrication cannot be denied. Even a person with moderate understanding can understand that terrorist groups are mainly responsible for the instability in Afghanistan and Pakistan. In this age of social media, where on one hand, terrorist groups irritate the youth with misleading interpretations of religion, on the other hand, the deceptions of fake jihadi commanders are also exposed. This question is very important as to why the commanders of the outlawed TTP and its dozens of sub factions are hiding like cowards in unknown places in Afghanistan. The poor workers are deceived by the illusion of attention and are sent on a journey of tragic death by joining forces against Pakistan’s forces and law enforcement agencies, while the fake managers indulge in luxuries in secret pleasure camps. What is the reason why many managers of banned organizations were killed by their own comrades as a result of gang conflicts? It is no coincidence either that most of the terrorists met a tragic end on Afghan soil.
The main reason behind the death of several terrorists on Afghan soil, including Khalid Umar Khorasani, Fazlullah, Hafiz Daulat, Umar Mansoor and Atiq aka Tipu, was the group conflict. These fake bosses have been killing each other in the fight to usurp the financial support received from the forces hostile to Pakistan and to establish a personal monopoly in the terrorist organizations. These incidents are enough to open the eyes of the emotional youth who have been caught in the trap of foreign terrorists by being deceived by the wrong interpretation of Jihad. The disadvantages of this false concept are undeniable. Terrorism has destabilized Pakistan and Afghanistan, innocent citizens have lost their lives, innocent families of terrorists are also being deported, authoritative scholars of all schools of thought have declared those who take up arms against the state as the Khawarij has been given and the aggressive terrorists go to hell sooner or later against the state. In such circumstances, instead of taking arms against the state, there should be diversity against the terrorist groups for the stability of the country. Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the head of the Afghan Taliban, has also stated that the Afghan citizens who attacked Pakistan named Malik Misbahuddin were also terrorists. There are elements in the ranks of the Afghan Taliban themselves who are poisoning Pak-Afghan relations by engaging in terrorism against the spirit of this balanced fatwa. The time has come to excommunicate the Khawarij on both sides of the border to restore lasting peace.
