After completing his rehabilitation program under the supervision of the PCB Medical Advisory Committee, Shaheen Afridi will join the Pakistan team in Australia for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. He will be eligible for selection for the warm-up matches on October 17 and 19 in against England and Afghanistan, respectively.
“I am very proud of the idea of ​​returning the national team for the T20 World Cup and contributing to the campaign.” Shaheen said. “It has been difficult for me to be away from the game and the team I admire the most, and to miss out on some angry and thrilling contests.
“I have been bowling six to eight overs with full run and pace for the previous ten days without any problems.” While I have enjoyed bowling and batting in the nets, nothing beats the atmosphere of a game, and I can’t wait to be there.
The team management will evaluate Shaheen’s match fitness throughout the two warm-up matches. Shaheen Afridi had left for London to recover from a right knee ligament injury that had forced him to miss the Asia Cup.

On October 23, Pakistan will face India in their first T20 World Cup match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
