FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint News / Pakistan Point – 28th March, 2024) As per the instructions of Commissioner Silwat Saeed, the price control mechanism was being implemented effectively across the department.

In this regard, the price control magistrates conducted 9,695 inspections in various markets and fairs and imposed a fine of Rs 391,000 after receiving 319 complaints about profiteering, hoardings and non-display of price lists.

They caught 38 shopkeepers and sealed a shop.

Separately, Price Control Magistrate Riaz Hussain Anjum, during an inspection of government counters in mega stores, imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on the violators of the law.
