New Delhi: The anticipation for Lok Sabha Election 2024 is increasing day by day. The second phase of the elections will be held tomorrow in many states and the first phase in Karnataka. Meanwhile, there is news that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will visit Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
Voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in the country will be held tomorrow (Friday) and in this period the voting will also be held in Kerala’s Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi is once again in the electoral fray from this constituency. Here he will face Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Annie Raja. Apart from this, all eyes are on Rae Bareli and Amethi, two high profile constituencies of Uttar Pradesh.

Nomination papers for Rae Bareilly and Amethi seats will start from April 26 and Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi may contest in Amethi and Rae Bareilly constituencies, sources said. Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi are likely to go to Ayodhya today to visit Ramlalla before announcing their candidature for these seats.
Congress sources said that there is every possibility that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would contest the elections of these two seats. But the official announcement about the candidates for these two seats will not be made before April 30, sources said. Even Congress leaders have not said anything about Rahul and Priyanka as possible candidates for these two seats.
Sources said Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi may go to Ayodhya today before Amethi and Roy go to Bareilly, but this has not been officially confirmed yet. A senior Congress leader suggested that if Rahul and Priyanka decided to contest from these seats, they could file their nomination papers on May 1 and 3. The last date for nomination here is May 3.

Rahul’s team is camping in Amethi
On the other hand, in the backdrop of the Amethi election fight, Rahul Gandhi’s team has camped in Amethi. The UP Congress team has been given a tentative date of 1 May for Rahul Gandhi’s nomination. It is said that the Congress will show its strength in Amethi on May 1.
According to information, Rahul Gandhi is likely to reach Amethi on April 27 after elections on April 26. He can file nomination on May 1. Amethi and Rae Bareli are the traditional seats of Congress. While Rahul Gandhi is a two-time Lok Sabha MP from Amethi, veteran leader Sonia Gandhi has been consistently flying the victory flag of Rae Bareilly.
