Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney on Friday. The Prime Minister congratulated him on the 79th anniversary of Italy’s Liberation Day. During this, Prime Minister Modi greeted Prime Minister Maloney and the people of Italy. He also thanked Prime Minister Maloney for inviting him to the G7 summit meeting to be held in Puglia, Italy in June 2024.
Prime Minister Modi and Maloney also discussed promoting important outcomes of India’s G20 presidency at the Italian-led G7 summit. Both also specifically discussed support for the Global South. They reiterated their commitment to continue and strengthen the bilateral strategic partnership between the countries. The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
