Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he had a very useful and positive conversation with the President of Iran today, and that he will soon finalize the free trade agreement with Iran.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the joint market on the Pakistan-Iran border in Pishin said that the border market was inaugurated on the border of Pakistan and Iran, the establishment of the border market will bring development and happiness. Trade centers will be built in the area in the future.
He said that I invited my brother the Iranian president to come to Pakistan. The Iranian president said he would definitely come to Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif says that Pakistan and Iran are brother and neighbors, both countries should progress rapidly in trade, agriculture and other sectors.
The prime minister said that there is a lot of scope in the transmission of electricity and solar energy from Iran, we need to move forward quickly, he had a useful and positive discussion with the Iranian president, we will take steps to implement the proposals.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the market on both sides of Pakistan and Iran has opened, Iran and Pakistan together can bring development and happiness to the residents of both countries.
He further said that the delegations of Pakistan and Iran will come regarding solar energy, the project of 100 MW transmission line for Gwadar has been greatly delayed.
The prime minister said that the plan for a 100 megawatt transmission line for Gwadar is in the cold storage, now 100 megawatts of electricity will be supplied to Gwadar daily, for which the rates will be discussed with Iran.
According to him, these projects are very important in relation to Pak-Iran friendship, it will strengthen the friendship of the two countries and it will be a milestone for the development and prosperity of the people.
On this occasion, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said that he congratulates the Pakistani government and people for the project, and wants to promote trade with Pakistan in the energy sector.
He said that the project will create employment opportunities in both countries, I thank all the people involved in the completion of the project, all the problems of the region can only be solved through negotiations.
According to the data of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 3 new trade markets are also opening on the Iran-Pakistan border, the Pak-Iran trade market was opened in Mend, while the work of 2 markets continues as a priority.
