In the Lahore by-elections, Hamza Shehbaz’s nominee could not get tickets.
Hamza Shehbaz had named Kabir Taj and Majid Zahoor in his vacant constituency in PP 147, but former PML-N MNA Malik Riaz has managed to get the ticket from Shahdara.
Hamza Shehbaz wanted to give a ticket to his trusted colleague Imran Goraya in the constituency PP 164 left vacant by Shehbaz Sharif, but the ticket has been given to a close relative of MNA Malik Mubasher from this constituency.
IPP’s Shoaib Siddiqui will contest on the seat vacated by Aleem Khan in Punjab Assembly Constituency PP 149. PML-N has not given ticket to anyone here.
Former PML-N MPA Chaudhry Shehbaz is also in the fray from this constituency. He has said that he will contest the election because Shoaib Siddiqui has dual citizenship and his case is in the tribunal.
