Lahore: A police sub-inspector was shot dead by unknown assailants in Lahore on Saturday, ARY News reported.
According to the police, Sub-Command Arshad was returning home after duty, when he was attacked near the Shah Straits area in Lahore.
The police added that the slain policeman sustained three bullets that turned out to be fatal. The police started investigating the incident.
Earlier, a police constable Lahore shot the woman to death and later took his own life in Samanabad area of ​​Lahore.
According to police reports, a police officer named Assad opened fire and killed the woman on the spot before turning the gun on himself.
The authorities revealed that the victim’s husband lives abroad, while the police officer is unmarried, but the investigation of the case was opened in order to reveal the reason behind the incident.
