After falling ill in the UP jail, Mukhtar Ansari was brought to the hospital, where he died.

Mafia Mukhtar Ansari died of a heart attack on Thursday night in Banda jail in Uttar Pradesh. Before the Banda jail, Ansari was lodged in the Punjab jail between 2019 and April 2021. The then Punjab Prisons Minister, Harjot Bains, had alleged in the Assembly that Ansari was given VIP treatment in the jail.

He had said that Ansari would be jailed for 2 years by registering a false FIR.
