According to the new national education policy, students in grades 11-12 will have to study two compulsory language subjects. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing this scheme to overcome the language problem of the students. Now CBSE will provide the option of basic and standard language in the language paper as well. So far, such a facility is only available in secondary level mathematics.

Students must learn the Indian language as a compulsory language.
