Guwahati: A policeman was killed on the spot after being hit by a four-wheeler in Aminagon on April 27.

The incident happened around 5:20 am today near Amingaon crossing resulting in the death of an Assam police official.

The deceased, identified as Gopal Chandra Choudhary, a resident of Kalitakuchi, Khaju, was on his way to Dispur from Kalitakuchi.
While talking to GPlus, a traffic official from Amingaon police station said, "Gopal Chandra Choudhary turned towards the end of the crossing on his two-wheeler, which is not considered correct according to the traffic rules. He was then accidentally hit from behind by a four-wheeler. Despite immediate assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene."
