7 thousand companies cheated 26 lakh investors in the country when they promised to double the amount. These companies collected 6 thousand rupees 834 million from investors and fled. In the last 5 years, the then government managed to return the money of only 73 thousand investors. These investors got only Rs 44 crore 76 lakh. which is less than one percent of the total amount.

It is worth noting that 25 lakh 72 thousand 223 investors invested in the chit fund.
