According to the information received by the police, the name of the deceased is Jeevan Murmu (48) and the name of the accused youth is Sukhlal Soren. It is known that on May 4, when Jeevan was returning home from work, Sukhlal, who passed him alone on the road, beat him with a bamboo. As a result he was badly injured. He was first taken to the local hospital. As his condition was stable, he was shifted to Kolkata for better treatment. He died in a hospital in Kolkata. Members of the deceased’s family lodged a complaint against the accused at the police station alleging murder. After the complaint was registered, the police arrested the accused. After a preliminary investigation, the police say that the incident took place due to an old enmity. The police are investigating the incident.
