Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are said to be keen to repair their relationship with the royal family for the secure future of their new brand.
However, a source said, as indicated The Express, that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex knew the Royals were going through a tough time during King Charles and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.
Therefore, the couple have decided to wait until the time is right to approach the royal family. This could mean that Meghan cancels her potential visit to the UK in May.
Speaking on the matter, the source said: “Harry and Meghan are very keen to improve the relationship with his family, but they know this may not be the right time, especially in light of Kate’s cancer announcement. “
“They are [the Sussexes] happy to wait until the time is right before working on repairing fences and building bridges,” the insider added.
“This means that Meghan may have to sit out until public sentiment indicates that this is the right time to return.”
This comes after a source revealed Meghan’s name has been mentioned as a guest on the official running order for the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary event to be held at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.
However, the former actor has not confirmed whether she will make an appearance or not, the insider has spilled to the publication.
They said, “The dates and details are being kept very quiet, but the 10th Invictus Games Celebration Service has now been confirmed at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.”
“Harry and Meghan are both listed as guests and a speech is planned, but there is still a question mark over whether Meghan will make an appearance,” they added.
“Her name is listed as TBC (to be confirmed),” the source said
