KATHUA, MARCH 27: On the last day of nomination papers for Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency, eight more candidates filed their nomination papers today.
The candidates, including Mehraj Din as an Independent Candidate, Rajesh Manchanda of Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party, Ch Lal Singh of Indian National Congress, Divya Suraj Partap Singh of Indian National Congress, Sachin Gupta of Inqilab Vikas Dal (IVD), Manoj Kumar of Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal, Balwan Singh of J&K National Panthers Party and Dr Pankaj Sharma as an Independent filed their nomination papers at the Returning Officer’s office.
With these eight candidates filing nomination papers, the total number of candidates who have filed their candidature for PC 4-Udhampur goes to fifteen.
The scrutiny of the nomination papers will take place on 28 March 2024, at 01:00 PM.
The candidate can withdraw his nomination before 03:00 PM on March 30,224 in the office of the Returning Officer.
The constituency is scheduled for Elections in the first phase of the General Elections to be held on April 19.
