JAMMU, MARCH 28: Returning Officer 5 – Jammu Parliamentary Constituency, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, today issued an election notification for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the constituency.
It is intended to hold the election in this Parliamentary Constituency during the second stage of the electoral process.
The election notice sets out the timetable and procedures for candidates who wish to contest the parliamentary elections.
As per the notification, candidates or their proposers can file nomination papers in the office of the Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Jammu or Assistant Returning Officer 76- East Jammu (Joint Commissioner (A) Jammu Municipal Corporation) in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wazarat Road Jammu between 11:00 am to 03:00 pm on any day (except public holiday) not later than 04 April 2024.
The nomination forms can be obtained from the Returning Officer’s office, located at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Jammu.
The nomination papers will be scrutinized on 06 April 2024 at 11:00 am at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Jammu.
The candidates have the option to withdraw their candidature on April 08, 2024, until 03:00 pm.
The constituency’s polling day is scheduled for April 26, 2024, and polling will take place between 07:00 am and 06:00 pm
