Old Malda If BJP comes to power in the state, Lakshmi will get 3 thousand rupees. Trinamool filed a police complaint against BJP candidate Khagen Murmu from Malda North Lok Sabha constituency for campaigning for votes by writing on walls with such promises. The wall is said to have been written with this promise in Ghoshpara of ward number 14 of old Malda city. A written complaint was lodged at the Malda police station on Friday by the Trinamool district leadership. The whole incident has spread a lot of excitement in the political circles.

Trinamool claims that although there is a practice of writing on the wall after the election is announced, the wall cannot be written with such a promise. If a political party makes a promise, it falls under the electoral law breach. Apart from the police station, the Trinamool also filed a complaint with the Election Commission. However, the BJP has rejected Trinamool’s claim for the writing on the wall. According to them, Trinamool is plotting a vile election.

Incidentally, BJP candidate from North Malda Lok Sabha Constituency Khagen Murmu held a press conference in Old Malda attacking Trinamool two days ago. There he claimed that top officials of the district administration were helping Trinamool to steal votes. It was alleged that the DM-SP of the area was also involved in the murder. BJP candidate Khagen Murmu complained to the Election Commission about this. In his counter press conference, Trinamool candidate for North Malda Lok Sabha constituency Prasoon Banerjee refuted the allegations made by the BJP candidate. Meanwhile, a new debate has arisen about wall writing.

However, Trinamool District Spokesperson Ashish Kundu said that the BJP candidate from Malda North had violated the election rules. He makes public promises to win the polls. Voters are greedy. He is never in favor of fair elections. Referring to the entire incident, we filed a complaint against the BJP candidate at the police station. A complaint has also been reported to the Electoral Commission. We want the commission to investigate the matter and file an FIR against the BJP candidate. In this regard, BJP candidate Khagen Murmu said that I have nothing to respond to Trinamool’s complaint about wall writing. Nothing can be said without seeing who wrote the wall. If election rules are broken, the Electoral Commission will investigate the matter.

In this regard, the officials of the old Malda Block Election Commission said that complaints of violation of election rules will be investigated.
