GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fielding Kamakhya Prasad Tasa as its candidate for the Kaziranga constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
At the age of 48, Tasa brings a combination of experience and skills to Assam politics. Tasa’s educational background includes a Master of Arts degree from Dibrugarh University, in 1999.

Tasa served as Member of Parliament for Jorhat from 2014 to 2019. Currently, he represents Assam in the Rajya Sabha, a position he has held since 2019.
His total income for the financial year 2022-23 amounts to Rs 11,68,970. Tassa owns movable assets worth Rs 52,13,999.95 and immovable assets worth Rs 62,00,000.

It should be noted that he declared liabilities to the extent of 15,86,170 rupees. Tassa has a clean record with no reported criminal cases against him.
