Due to climate change, about 5 billion people in the world will be affected by the end of the century. Its direct effect is on trees, plants and crops. This was revealed in a study by the University of Maryland, the results of which were published in Nature Reviews Earth and Environment.
According to the researchers, the rains in April suddenly turn into heavy rain, which affects the blooming of flowers during the month of May. This change is not limited to April only. In India, many changes are seen during the monsoon.
Huge damage to crops
According to Andrew P. Feldman, a researcher associated with the study, gradual rainfall throughout the year makes plants happier and gives more vegetation a chance to bloom. But when suddenly more water falls than required, then there are many problems in the growth and preservation of the plants. In such a situation, plants also begin to change their shape.
