Congress has not been able to win any election from Hisar Lok Sabha seat for 20 years. In 2004, Jaiprakash JP of the Congress had last won the election in Hisar. But since then no one has won the election. Now again Jaiprakash is in the fray from Congress. Now the Jindal family and the Bhajanlal family are not with the Congress. Both the families are now with the BJP. In such a situation, the Congress is hoping for a victory from the face of Jayaprakash, a split in INLD and anti-incumbency against the BJP government. At the same time, Congress has not been able to win even from Narnaund constituency under Hisar Lok Sabha seat. The last time the Congress won here was in 1977. When Jogendra Jog was elected MLA from here. Along with this, Congress is relying on Chaudhary Birendra Singh in Uchana. Dushyant Chautala is the MLA from here who won with the maximum number of votes. In such a situation, it seems that the Congress is confident of victory from here only on the strength of Birendra Singh.
