A major accident took place on Wednesday on the Ahmedabad-Wodara highway near Nadiad city in Gujarat’s Kheda district. In the accident, a speeding car collided with a truck. During this period, 10 people who were in the car died.
Inspector Kirit Chaudhary of Nadiad Rural Police Station said the car was traveling from Vadodara towards Ahmedabad. during which the car collided with the back of the truck on the highway. Eight people died on the spot in the accident, while two injured people were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where they later died.
Nadiad member LA Pankaj Desai said that the truck suddenly shifted to the left lane of the highway. Maybe the truck driver did it because of some technical fault. Because of this, the car driver did not have time to apply the brakes.
